Sections 1 and 2 create a new sanitary authority in lieu of that for which provision was made by Ordinance 9 of 1867.
Sections 3 and 14 confer on the new authority powers corresponding to, but somewhat more stringent than those given by Sections 14 and 15 of Ordinance 9 of 1867.
Sections 5 and 6 are modifications of 29 & 30 Victoria cap 90 Sec 26 and 38 & 39 Victoria Cap 55 Sec 124.
It is the intention to carry out immediately by rules and regulations under this Ordinance and other like reforms the scavenging suggested in Mr. Chadwick's report.
